La puissance de la lune, de son magnétisme nous transcende à travers sa lumière. C’est ce clair de lune qui, comme un voile invisible, crée la nuit et habille l’atmosphère. Qu’elle luise sur l’océan, le désert ou sur le corps d’une femme, elle est le romantisme, le mystère, un sentiment d’élégance et de séduction, elle est inspiration, fascination pour la forme féminine.
La collection couture de Maria Aristidou Automne Hiver 2019/20 est une ode au Clair de Lune. Les coupes, les dessins et les accessoires subliment les ornements brodés à la main colorés et luxueux, fabriqués par la designer ; ils soulignent le romantisme intemporel, la féminité et l’unicité qui sont définis dans chaque scintillement, dans chaque poussière de lune.
La magie de la maille a incité la créatrice à explorer puis à créer, à l’aide de fils précieux et de techniques élaborées, divers modèles de maille. Le travail artisanal de broderies à la main ouvragées ajoute à la singularité des choix de tissus de Maria Aristidou, tant pour les robes de soirée que pour les accessoires. Le processus de production de chaque collection commence à partir de la conception du tissu. Des fils tels que la laine, la viscose, le lurex, le coton, la soie et le velours sont commandés en France et en Italie. Puis une série de motifs est conçue avec un grand soin du détail, suivie d’une série de tests pour déterminer les fils utilisés, leur épaisseur, leur combinaison de couleurs, les tests de conception de broderies faites à la main, tester leur qualité, contrôler leur durabilité, etc. L’ensemble des processus de conception et de production a lieu à Chypre.
